Escalade Taillights installed on 2015 Tahoe

I just saw an LTZ out in LI.

I've had the oem Escalade one for a few weeks now and I love it. Some don't like the look of it but I really like how bright it is. Especially when I have the turn signal on as it is the the same as the brake light. I don't even use the amber lights.

do the OEM ones stick out @ bottom by bumper?

i recall reading here or other forum that they do & the aftermarket ones (less bright) are flush.

Are these different from the VLAND brand? I have heard that the aftermarket lights are to dim. Whats the best OEM pricing that has been found?

these are original cadillac parts made for european markets that wont light up all the way.
vland ones are dim during daylight, i threw them away.

So OEM or nothing? I think I'll stick with my stock lights. I like the look of the Cadillac style lights, but I wish there was some quality aftermarket styles available. Adding the Cadillac lights makes me feel like a poser. ;-)

Also - wouldn't a trailer light converter work in order to get the brake light and turn signals separate? I remember doing this in my past life when I had a ZX6R. The break and turn were one wire and we used a trailer harness to separate the turn and brake in order to add individual amber turns on the back of the bike and keep the brake lights solid while stopping.

I was thinking the same thing too. But, by the time all was said and done, wiring up from the front turns may be just as easy.

I don't disagree except that you need to drag a wire from the front blinker on each side to the back of the truck. That is PITA. I'd much rather use a trailer splitter on each side. Adding $30 to the cost for simplicity and keeping things "self contained" as best as possible would be much better.

Installed used OEM tail lights on my 2015 Yukon SLE XL past weekend. Straight plug and play. Have people doing double takes. Only issue I have is that there are no reflectors in the tail light housings facing the rear of the vehicle. If your vehicle is parked in a dark area, cars approaching from the rear may not see your vehicle. I notice on the Escalades, the reflectors are in the bumper. Wonder if the Escalade bumper is a straight bolt on. Would take care of reflector issue and that slight overhang the tail lights have on the Yukon bumper.

I bought them off eBay. Different seller for each side. I think I paid $250 for one and $260 for the other. So basically for the price of the cheap knockoffs, I got genuine tail lights. Be patient and you will find **** Escalade owners selling because of very minor scratches. Mine have very, and I mean very minor scratches. Couldn't spot unless pointed out. I will post pics tomorrow when it's light out.

They may not be plug and play for the suburban from what I've heard. May be possible with a lot of headache.

^ yeah , they wont be PnP.
turn signals wont work w/o extra wiring & such (or trailer adapter)
