I polished mine. Did the rear appliques the same time. Also polished the lower window trim the same way. All trims have a look of painted semi gloss black.

Holy crap! Your trim looks amazing! What do you polish with? I've been needing to revive my black trim for a while.

Do you do that for just the trim or do you use the same process for the whole truck?

I did it when I did the whole truck recently.
But I did the appliques before hand and they've always stayed looking glossy and clean.

This generation is a great all around truck still love mine at 160k frames pretty clean just the same rust issue u have, truck runs and drives great I'd rather fix this then get a car payment
