Still trying to find a shop that will put in my Vanquish Auto HID lows and LED high beams! The body shop won't do it. I need to find a place that I know will do a good job and install them right

I'm not sure a north/south versus an east/west LED orientation will cause more of a blinding light for the same powered lamp within the same housing. The in-direct disbursement of these lamps are caused by the inherent design of the fog light housing/reflector itself. These housings are specifically designed to produce a very wide horizontal and narrow vertical pattern.

If I was to guess an east/west orientation of these 80w LEDs would be a little brighter, since the LEDs would be directed towards a larger portion of the reflector within the housing, but I'm not sure they would be less intrusive to oncoming traffic. As they are, these 80w LED lamps appear visually less blinding/intrusive than the stock 25w halogen bulbs and the 50w LEDs compared here (which both produce some direct light toward the oncoming driver). This is where I believe you will find the greatest benefit to oncoming traffic - not having a direct light source (halogen bulb, or LEDs facing forward) pointing towards the oncoming driver.

I did just look up the VLED bulb you referenced and they do mention the reason for the new rotatable/adjustable base version is "for proper LED indexing in the lamp housing". Which is what I mentioned earlier, to align the LEDs towards the largest portion of the reflector in the horizontal position.

I would definitely be interested to see some side-by-side comparisons of LED lamps with adjustable orientation for both light output and glare.

bzpilot,
I'm going to be receiving these (Car-Lighting-Source PSX26W 80W 4000LM each bulb) sometime soon, which are designed almost identical to the Vanquish Auto, minus the Orange metal tip(All Silver). They have the 4 Philips LUMILED chips in the same orientation with the same spec's, even down to the 2 Yr warranty. When I install, I will photograph 1 bulb in the N-S orientation and 1 bulb in the E-W orientation to compare and post. I went with the C-L-S version because they were only $83.60 with FREE SHIPPING versus the $120+ for the Vanquish with equal spec's.

These ones for $199.99 are brighter , i have tried the other ones in the past and they were still incredible, but wanted to give a try to the new ones they recommend me and i really can say these ones are a lot brighter, 3x times brighter and whitest too.

I also find out that on eBay there is another seller with some similar leds to the vanquishauto brand and i made a comparison so people don't lose the money buying a replica lights when they can buy the original ones from vanquish

Got the 80w bulbs installed. For the guys that have them.. are yours not as snug as the oem? I've tried to reposition handful of times but still isn't as snug. I can still wiggle it, but it doesn't come out.

I have vanquishauto leds, they have 1 kit 9005 that is 8000LMS. im sure they can have the same kit you need in 9006 with the same lumens., you should contact them for that, but I haven't seen anything better than their lights.
Contacted them via chat and a guy showed me some 3600 lumen lights for $124.99 and thats too much for that amount of lumens. Show me the kit that has 8000 lumens per bulb.

Just talked to somene from vanquish via chat and he couldn't give me any kind of link to show me the lights but wanted to send me an invoice for the lights. Website is not very user friendly to see what they have to offer for my particular year Tahoe.
Well when i decided to purchased the lights from them, they sent me all the links for all the items i was looking for, however here is the link for the one you say you want 9005/9006

I am keeping eye on them because they are making some new led color change for the underground of my yukon. They havent make them yet but they told me in about 2 weeks they will be ready so I can be able to purchase them.

Thanks for the info. I saw your comparo below and did more research, so I ended up buying these instead..... http://www.genssiled.com/shop/elite-led-headlight-conversion-kit-6000k-bulbs-8000lm/ ......no install/tab fitment/connector fitment issues or reason to question their intensity. They use Phillips Gen 7 Luxeon Lumileds and are "supposed" to be rated at 8000 LM as well. All I know is that they are pretty darn bright.

I was looking at the ones you already bought and i compared those to the ones i bougth from vanquish auto., and here is the details., I still believe mine are brighter than those you bought! I always compare all options are on the market so i get the best ones.
