Duct tape, hose clamps, zip ties-all different sizes, vise grips, pliers, both types of screw drivers, pair of gloves, good set of jumper cables, spray can of penetrant , and maybe a hammer and a metric socket set. You can't prepare for every emergency but this covers some of it. If possible also try to carry a quart of oil, some pwr steering fluid, brake fluid and some water. It's a lot but the first time you need it, you'll be glad you have it.

Lol, I figured I should leave that out.You forgot the kitchen sink lol
Thats a pretty well rouned sounding kit!
ATF Doubles as Power steering fuild,
2 birds with one stone![]()

I think the guy just wanted to know about basic tools to have. Ps a jack.IMO just do preventive maintenance properly, you wont need too lug around anything but yourself and passengers.
Keep ontop of fluid levels, Grease it and check hoses and ujoints every once in a while. If you kinda do that then you can allways make her back to home base.
Are you in canada? Stanely is a good brand but they go on sale at Canadian tire allllll the time. You can get the 200 piece set for that same price and it comes in a cool matte black or even red or blue

By greasing it he means all the zerk fittings. Ball joints, u joints etc... if you take your truck in for an oil change they are supposed to do them all for you. Just ask and make sureIm learning little by little about cars with this truck. Right now im working through a misfire code thats been nagging my baby. But i have learned how to clean throttles, MAF sensors, seen smoke test done, seen indepth diagnostics lol im learning. Gonna get the power steering flushed and replaced soon. by grease it, what parts are you talking about particularly for mantainece? and what grease brand?
Lol, I can't help it. I used to travel 200 miles a day for 8 years, just back and forth to work. I encountered a few problems along the way, so I was just trying to give him the benefits of my experience. I've also given the same advice to my kids. Better to be prepared. It's a lonely road when you're sitting on the side of it, stuck.I think the guy just wanted to know about basic tools to have. Ps a jack.
Somewhere along the line we started talking about a total truck kit....Tony
And while I respect your opinion, I am a fan of carrying a truck box, yet doing as you mentioned. I would never leave home without my box
I am on your side. I'll post a picture of my truck box tomorrowNo
