Ok, did you make sure that blue pad is back in and laying flat on the board? Make sure you put the switch back together exactly as it was. The only way the led could cause a problem is if it was it the way of that blue pad making contact with the board. Other than that, maybe you burn a trace on the board when soldering. I hope you get it fixed.

How many individual LED's did you use for this project

6 for the gauge lights, not sure how many yet for everything else, i havent gotten through it all yet, i bought a hundred pack of resistors and leds off ebay for 15 bucks(ish) but so far i ve only used 17. i bet 50 would be more than enough, if i ever get around to finishing up the project i ll let you know,im currently at a stand off with it and havent gotten around to working on it again

doesn't take too long to do, once you get the hang of it. longest part is taking out the switch and then figuring out the best layout for the resistor and led, in order to have enough room to put the switch back together.

i'm not sure i would want to do other people's parts even if i got paid for it. it's really not that hard at all.

just buy a pack of 100 leds and a 100 resistors off ebay. go to radio shack and buy the soldering iron starter kit for $7.99 if you don't already have one and go to it. i'll be happy to give any help you need.

I dont get it...I been trying to get my leds to work, but some of the won't.
I can't get the 4wd switch to light up. You have 1 x470 resistor on each led, right?
The're not soldered together or anything?
It doesn't matter if the resistor is on the + or - side of the led right?
Can't get the leds on 4 wd, the rear window washer or the rear HVAC switch to light up.
The other switches work...!
Any tips?

resistor has to go in line with the + lead of the led.

Along with what vata suggested, try flipping the led around and make sure the leds are not blown. When I was putting mine in, some of the leds were dead, so I made sure I tested every led with a 9v battery.

did you do your driver's door heated seat switch? i need some pics of the leds on the board to see which way they need to go. the lights are in series and i had trouble getting them all to work.

ok thanks!
The led works with the resistor on the - side too, but does it matter?

On the rear HVAC (along with the rest of the swiches) how do I know the differance between + and - on the printcard?

the led works with the resistor on the - side too? hmm, anyways a couple ways to figure out which way the leds go. you could take the old bulbs out and then plug in the switch and check each spot with a led and resistor set up to see which way the led will light up. or you could get a 12v power supply and connect it to the + and - pins on the switch and use a test light.

for the switches that are in series, you'll have to find which lead is +, so you can trace the circuit to find out which way each led will go.

hope this helps.

I had to break the bulbs and pull out the wires that were left behind on most of the switches. The AC controls are able to be desoldered, which makes it easier to get the bulbs out. Do what I did and start with the window switches, in fact start with the rear window switches, they are the easiest. Don't rush and do one switch at a time, no matter how long it takes.

ima do this to.are the leds uv blacklights u use?

What exact LED's did you use? I want to order them from superbrightleds.com so that I can do this myself.

Also, how do you keep the LED lights on the floor on while the doors are closed?
