All I have right now. It's dark outside. The Lean is due to the other wheels tires in the back. Bumper is getting pretty rough, next spring I hope to get that taken care of.

Repaint? Kind of reminds me of pickup trucks and those plastic bedliners. People put them in to protect the beds from damage, which they do to a certain extent, but they absolutely destroy the paint which causes the obvious damage, along with surface rust. :badidea:
Gonna see what type of fixing, touching up, and correcting i can do, tryin to wait for a full on repaint till i get some more parts like maybe HD hood and Denali rear bumper or roll pan and some other things like that.

Of course, nothing comes easy.... installed 1 1/2" long 3/8" bolts in the battery terminals, to make it easier to add other accessories/ use jumper cables... and just as I was almost done snugging down the positive bolt, I dropped the wrench. Sparks flying as it bridged across the positive and negative battery terminals, I quickly smacked the wrench with another wrench I had nearby, but not before the arc across the terminals started to burn through the handle of the wrench!!!

I know the feeling. Been looking off and on for over a year hoping find one that matched but realized they didn't do silver birch in 01-02 on the trucks. Had Pewter metallic, so I kinda gave up. Mine has a couple hail spots and needs anyway.

I've been loosing a little bit of coolant, with no signs of a leak...busted off the passenger side valve cover, and yup, you guessed it....coolant around the bolt heads. Looks like Ill be spending another couple grand to have the heads replaced.

:emotions122:

On a positive note, I got my wheels and tires today. Looks sick! I'll snap a shot in the daylight tomorrow.

There's an HD Hood on Craig's in NY. Has some damage and he wants $300 for it. I live in NJ, and no offense to my NY brothers but I refuse to drive in NY! So that's a no go for me. I've seen a brand new after market HD Hood sells for $334 without shipping.

Last night I re-did the wiring and cabling on my dual battery setup. For those interested here's the post.

http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/my-dual-battery-writeup.86230/page-2#post-1039953

The short version is this: The way I crimped the cables was incorrect and potentially dangerous, so I found someone who had the correct crimping tool and some shrink tubing and I made properly crimped (and safe) cables.

Next step will be running 10g wire to the rear driver's side wheelwell cover to put in a 12v power connector for the fridge. Hope to do that this weekend.

I installed a 3rd row in my 01 Tahoe. Took about 2 hours. Found an exact interior match. No factory 3rd row with my barn doors but all the holes were in the floor for the brackets to bolt on. Leaves very little cargo room but I have a pickup for that. Seats $100, brackets $85 that came with the wrong size bolts so another $15 from the hardware store for bolts and washers. I read a few posts that said 3rd rows won't fit in barn door Tahoes....they fit fine.

I have plenty of room under the seats, even folded down. My kids are gargantuan (son is 15 today, and is 6'2, 350 lbs, daughter is 13, and is 5'11"), so I had to move the rear seats back - made some brackets to move them back 2 1/2", and raised them up about 1/2" in the process. Gave me enough clearance for the amp and inverter. I actually have enough room if I should want to add a 4-channel amp for the doors.

.

Big kids! I have the opposite problem. Wife is tiny, my step daughters are very little and can hardly get into my Jeep and its only on 32" tires

Curious about how that bracket was made. Do you have any pictures?

Fuel pump just died. On the way to the shop for a fuel pump! We're actually lucky. I first noticed the pump was loud in S. Carolina. I live in NJ! That was 3 months ago.
Little gratuitous shot! :boobs:

They were actually very simple, I've had to do it for almost every vehicle I've ever had (as I'm (was) 6'7... I've already shrunk a little bit).

For these. I just used a piece of 1/4" thick 2" wide steel bar stock. Cut the stock into pieces 3 1/2" long, and drilled hole 2 1/2" apart. Bolted them all down onto the factory studs in the floor, after securing bolts sticking up in the other hole. Basically, I just offset the mounts 2 1/2" to the rear.

Passenger side rear seat, forward bolt. Taken from the rear passenger door.

And on another note, my replacement sub came TODAY, didn't expect it until Monday. Already replaced the blown one, and ran it for about a half hour. It's amazing how a good box can sound. Listened to some Stone Sour, was blown away by the accuracy of the tens, and how low they played with some Eminem....:head3::head3::rocking::rocking::rockit::rockit:
