Cost/Necessities for a 3-4" lift?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I'm not sure how everything works but... I am about to turn 16 and I am looking at a 2004 z71 tahoe that I really really like. What all would I need to lift it 3-4" safely, and how big of tires would it clear? Also, could you give me a ballpark estimate on how much all of this is going to cost including installation? I plan on my final product to end up looking something like the black tahoe that is pictured below except it is lifted 6" instead of 3-4".

I just bought an 04 z71 tahoe and I want a small lift to fit bigger tires and give it a better stance. I have a similar thread posted too. I think I will just do coil spacers on the rear and torsion keys on the front. I am just not sure where I should get the stuff from yet. ebay has some good stuff. But Thats why I got on here to ask if anyone knows of better stuff than on ebay

Ok I found rough Country has a cool kit I am going to purchase soon. Their leveling kit includes new torsion keys that will lift up your front about 2.5" and a rear coil spcer for 1" gain in the back. they state you will be able to fit 33" tires. O yea the kit includes 4 new shocks to go around your car!

I also looked at the ready lift brand kit, it was more expensive and not as good. They offered the same amount of lift for front and back, buttt no new shocks. They do provide a front shock extender which I'm sure would work fine but Rough Country includes all new shocks and the front shocks are longer IMO is better than an extender. Their kit was around $365. Rough Country's kit was $260.

If you want to go much higher it seems after a few inch level kit for a few hundred you will have to blow over 1k for a decent lift 4-6"

a 3-4" lift would clear 33" x 12.5" tires just fine. A lift done properly can get expensive quickly also. With that said here is my advice, a leveling kit to bring the front up is a couple hundred bucks and will work until you save for a big lift. If you are going to lift go 6" +, do not go less. You will spend just as much money on a smaller lift and will want more a few days later.

A lift kit is $1K+ installation which is another $1K plus
Gears 4.56 (for 35" tires) 1K-2K is a running standard depending on where you live
Wheels and tires plan on $1K-2K easy
Misc plarts like longer brake lines, possible modification to the drive shaft, exhaust and so on have another $500 ready

As you see it adds up quickly. However the end result is bad ass.
