yukon/yukonxl HID in fogs anyone?

can someone post up pics of the light output with HIDs in the stock fog lights on a yukon/yukonxl..i feel like these fogs suck and not even HIDs will help them lol.so i would like to see what the HIDs will do before i purchase them.. thanks!

I dunno if I have just fog output shots, but I promise you my 55w HID's in my fogs make a HUGE difference. I can't run them in traffic at all, because there is no focus, but the extra light on back roads is very noticeable. You can kind of get an idea of brightness from my sig picture. They look brighter than the headlights.....

I have 8000k HIDs in my fogs and can use just fogs on backroads and see fine without headlights. Way brighter then my 7500k xenon low beam projectors.

I have 6Ks in my fogs, and they LOOK GREAT!!!..........They perform MEDIUM. LoL! They're worth it though. The stock housings are just cheap is all.

I have 4500k ones in my lows and fogs, the fog compliment the short distance lighting that the lows don't get!!

Thanks for all the replies guys..I was gonna go with depo head lights and some new fogs but I don't have the money and time right now for it..so I'm just gonna throw HID on my lows and fogs, I do a lot of night driving on the highways..would there be a problem if I put 55w on the lows and fogs?

I wouldn't do 55W ones in the stock fogs, more than likely will melt the housing but the 55 in the lows should be ok!!

Yeah, I have 55w in the fogs and after about six months I have scorch/melt spots right in the center of the lenses. Probably should go with 35w.

Depo projectors and DDM tuning 6k 35w in fogs and lows.. Did have to change a bad ballast once, but it was under warranty, just had to swap it out.. other than that no problems.. 35w is pretty bright, i would maybe consider 5k in the future, 6k is pretty blue.. either way i am happy with them.. the light output on the stock fogs is pretty awesome, i might just get some OEM new replacements because mine are pretty beat from rocks etc..

thanks for the input and pics guys!..i realized the fog lights have a little hole in the back,im guessing to release heat? theres water dripping in causing fog on the lens and making the reflectors dirty..is there any way i can take the lens off to clean the fog light? and would there be a problem to seal the hole?

i didnt seal the hole but on a chrysler we had, we had a smilar deal. drove through some deep water during a storm and the lights filled up with water (little too deep to drive through but oops). it was nasty water that left road grime on the inside. all i did was take the housing off, and soaked it in the sink with soap and water, used a soft (baby bottle) brush to clean the lense on the inside...make sure its foam type of brush and not plastic bristles...the bristles can scratch the plastic lens. then once it was clean and rinsed i used the compressor and air hose with one of those rubber tipped nozzles and blew all the water out of it. good as new.
