Yukon denali awd binding

I drive a 2011 yukon denali 120k miles and today when making a U-turn the truck felt like it was binding and skipping as if it was in 4hi. tech 2 is showing no faults. any ideas?

Have you checked the CV boots on both ends of both front half shafts to see if any of them are torn? A damaged/severely worn CV joint is the most probable cause I can think of. It's also worth checking the fluid levels in both diffs for starters.
