Wow, '13 Denali Bose blows away my '09 Denali Bose

My ex picked up a '13 Denali with 13,000 miles on it- no she didn't buy it to replace her MDX, it's a rental from Enterprise. She needed more room for a business trip and this is what they gave her.

She's driven my Denali plenty of times so she's familiar with all the controls, but as we played with the newer Nav I also played with the sound system. Wow, the clarity of the system is far better than my '09, better bass and crisper highs. I didn't think GM changed anything other than the Nav but is it possible the entire head unit is different, with better power and frequency response specs?

Yep, the 2013 has a newer headunit, not sure about the other components.

When you upgrade to the new unit blkonblk has for sale the unit is ten times better audio.

The bass does not drop off like on the old one.
You actually have a volume limit bar so you know how loud your turnt up.

The highs are way better. The front a pillars will almost sound as if they were never even there before.

Yeah, the 2012+ unit definitely has better sound than the previous one. Its as if you did a LUX amp upgrade without having to do one. Sounds almost aftermarket.
