your fuel lines enter a body which, if old style goes into a body with injector valves in it there are output lines with a poppet valve on then end of each one that goes to to an injector runner of it own on the lower manifold. being as there are eight skinny lines stretching out is is nicknamed the fuel spider. the new design moved the injectors out of the body to enhance reliability among other things. the vortec throttle bodies move no fuel at all just air. what pressure do you get when following the tests below?

I haven't messed with it today but I know I'm getting fuel to the spider but that's where it stops

Well I know it cause I pulled the lines going into it and far as how much I'm assuming its enough considering my pump checked good and its building up enough preassure that when I went to remove line it shot up and hit the hood

Did you check for spark? Is it throwing a code?

Is it cranking over like normal, but no start?

Actually verify the pressure reading. the only thing that "shot up and hit the hood" tells me is that you might have seen a woman go by but not how good she looked.

Yes getting spark and cranking like normal will run if I spray gas or starting fluid in in it

uh, yeah either the pump power or ground terminal connections are breaking or if the connector is the old type that is failing, or your power supply fusing or switching is failing or your pump itself just took a dump.

It's not the pump, you have fuel spraying everywhere, remember?? Must be a blown head gasket.

Nope not a head gasket I know that much I've fixed bunch of those and any car I've worked on or seen with one still runs with a blown head gasket but I bit the bullet and had to move it to a shop had to clear the room in the garage
