Ok guys need your help. 93 Yukon 5.7 318000 backed in garage last week to replace busted brake line. In sat all summer. It was running rich but ok. Ended up stripping all the brake lines off. Decided to do trans fluid and oil while I was waiting on parts. Went to start it to ck fluids cranked for 20 secs finally started and died. Got it re started had to feather it to keep it running no rpm’s. Buddy used a wire and pulled 015 code. We replaced coolant sensor no help. Spray out of injectors fat and heavy. Can’t hardy stand to be in garage for the fumes. All of a sudden it reved up to 5k cleared out and idled long enough to ck trans fluid and died. Finally got it started again won’t stay running.

What is the fuel pressure when you start it and monitor while running? When it dies are you losing spark? How old are the tune related components?

Time to replace the Distributor, the reluctor inside is probably so rusty its falling apart. Fuel and spark both depend on it. Because it is intermittant sometimes hard to diagnose, if its really rusty thats my guess. If Idle was wavering before (hi/lo) nearly guaranteed.About $60.00.
