Why does my diagnostics port all of a sudden not work?

So, all of a sudden my OBD II diagnostic port doesn't work. Its always worked since I bought it a little over a year ago. I've used it multiple times to Scan for codes and to install tune. Now when I plug in scanner or tuner, the device will not power on. Any ideas?

check your fuses, usually the cigarette power port also powers the obd communication as well

Ok. I will check it out. Actually, I did notice that my power is non existent for cig lighter.
