Which tires? 275/55/20

Probably not what your looking for, but I've been super pleased with my new Falken Wildpeak AT3! Great tire for the money and they have a 55,000 mile manufacturers warranty.

How do these tires do on the highway in terms of noise level, smoothness, steering response, braking?

They have been perfect so far. Slight hum going down the highway, but you can't hear it with the windows up. Other than that, they are very smooth, and verses the tires that were on it, worn down cooper AT3's, steering and braking are greatly improved

@ubervic , I had the all terrain wildpeaks on my Durango a couple years ago, and absolutely hated them! Even with windows up and music up they were loud as hell. Anyways when I bought my denali, had the dueler alenza h/t and those were just as terrible. Scored a set of the Michelin LTX a/t2 tires, take offs, with about 500 miles on them for a super cheap deal and I absolutely love them. Have not had a single problem with them. Plowed through plenty of snow with no problems, they corner well up and down the windy mountain roads I live around, and they make no noise at all on dry pavement and freeways. I will be buying these again, just gonna have to suck it up and drop the cash cuz they are pretty pricey new. But worth the money in my opinion.

Interesting that you mention Michelin LTX a/t2, as that's what's my research has pointed me to. I live in Northern Virginia, with typically fairly mild winters, and I seldom go off-road. These Michelins seem like the ticket.

I realized after my post that my tires are slightly different than the ones in the original link he posted. A little beefier than the ones he's looking at or already has. But yeah I love the michelins I got. And A lot of my clients run Michelin tires and I've heard good things about them.

@Countryboy07 gotcha. I had older all terrain wild peaks about 3 years ago. They did fantastic in snow. The winter I had them on the Durango we had a lot of snow and I rarely had to touch my 4WD. But they barely lasted a year. Lol. And they were terribly loud. Don't miss those at all.

I got the Michelins Defenders 5 months ago and they are amazing.

You can't go wrong with Michelins but be aware those tires are made by Michelin ONLY for Wal-Mart and Sams. I would spend a little bit more money and move up to the LTX M/S2. They've been on my uncle's truck for at least 5 years and 60k miles and still have about 5/32 tread left. Put them on my mom's Tahoe about 3-4 years ago but she doesn't drive as much. If I had a full-size that's what I'd go with hands down. I have Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
