Looking for a new front bumper for the Yukon. I want a fog light bumper, just cant decide on which one.

I like both the diesel bumper with the fog lights towards the center, but I also like the aftermarket bumper that has the round fogs toward the outside of the bumper.

The diesel bumper is cheaper, but I'm worried about mounting up the fog lights since I will have to rig something up. The other bumper is ready to put on with no modification but it's over $100 more expensive.

Let me know which one you prefer and if you have any good ideas on how to mount the fog lights in the diesel bumper.

I personally like the stock look and just added the stock bumper mounted fog lights to my 1997 Tahoe 2 door, pics are posted in interior section somewhere.

Ordered up a OEM GM bumper with rubstrip and bumper guard provisions but GM stopped making that one and substituted the GM Diesel bumper w/no rubstrips holes in its place. (It's nonreturnable and sitting in my garage, make you a deal if you decide to go that route.)

Next step was ordering a LMC bumper with rubstrip and bumperguards.
The quality was subpar and I had to have a body shop re-drill the mounting holes but that was cheaper than drilling the GM bumper they sustituted.

During my project I also gathered up a second set of OEM stock fog lights, the OEM discontinued mounting buckets and the OEM discontinued fog light switch; all are listed or sale in the For sale section for $240 shipped

The stock harnesses are still available but not cheap. I can dig up p/ns if you decide to go that route or you can locate aftermarket fog light harnesses on Ebay for about $100

Total cost to install stock set in bumper is about $500 to $600.

Tricky,
I liked the chrome look with the rubstrip and bumperguard;it matches the rear bumper.
BTW, Thanks for your help/input in getting them operating properly, turned out it was burned out leds in both the foglight on position and the dash illumination spot. Replaced both LEDs.

Do you know or can you measure the size of flat stock you're using. I'd like to try and gather parts, then buy the diesel bumper as the last thing if I decide to go that route.

Thanks

at first i used some flimsy crap off this old shelving thing i had lol im going to homedepot next week to find some and ill let ya know. i know its got to be as wide as the 2 bolts on the top of the bumper mounting brackets. now this makes the lights sit back in the hole though. let me find picture how it lookd.
