Just found out today that I have to replace my air shocks AND compressor. Both rear shocks leak, and that extra work siezed the compressor. Anyway, the dealer here is quoting me about $1800 just for the parts, with the install included around $2300 total. Considering I just spent all my money on the truck, I don't have that kind of money at the moment. Anyone know where I might find some cheaper parts?

They also said it's not good to drive around like this, since it can cause further damage and sagging to the suspension. Anyone know about that?

I'm not a happy camper at the moment.

I'd at least try NAPA locally. Online you could check out gmpartsdirect.com

Thanks. Checked all the local shops, and nobody had it. NAPA doesn't even carry it, so far as anyone could find.

GMpartsdirect.com does have it all for considerably less. Then I found it all for even less money on a site called shockwarehouse.com. I can get the parts for less then $800. They aren't GM, but they are Monroe shock direct OEM replacements, so figure that'll probably be fine. Saves me about $1000 on parts right there.

Arnottindustries.com has GM parts. When my compressor died the shop tried to put one on that the waranty company wanted to use but couldnt get it to work.

Why don't you just disable the Autoride and put in Bilstein HD shocks.
For all that you would pay $500 worst case scenario and probably ride better than those air shocks do.
If not, don't be surprised in like 2000 miles they screw over again.....

I will check into this. Are the front shocks part of the autoride system, or is it just the rear? While looking for parts I keep running across "electric shocks" as replacements for the fronts. Would disabling autoride screw those up?

I can't find Bilstein direct replacement shocks. I found some Bilstein Air Shock replacements that still require the compressor. Not many people have shocks that will fit into or onto whatever the air shocks are connected to....sounds like they have a unique bracket/mounting system. If someone can point me directly to the correct shocks, that'd be great.

I don't want electronic or air shocks...just normal heavy duty shock replacements.
