I got a 2001 Yukon XL, and I am thinking of trying to do a 15 inch wheel with some 33x12.5x15's. could I do this at stock ride height? If not, what is the biggest sized tire I could do without rubbage?

i personally don't know much about 15" wheels with tires. i know that it is different than 17" wheels though. it may fit but i don't know. hopefully someone who has 15" wheels will chime in and tell you the answer. in the meantime ill try to do some research for you.

I just put 295 70 17 on my 05 yukon slt on the stock 17 rims. No scrubbing and trimming, just cranked my torsion bars 3/4

I'm bone stock and have 265/65/18 on it no rubbing. It's overall diameter is 31.5". However I don't think the height is the problem, I don't think 12.5" wide will clear without rubbing. Pretty sure you will need a small lift

I believe the problem is going to be with the 15" wheels. They will not clear the calipers.
