I came across this while researching wheel sizes for my OBS.

For those that have added larger rims/tires - is this accurate??

Curious as to why the 18x9 combos would require a leveling/lift kit but the 20x9 does not...?

Good reference and a great starting point for some. But obviously appears to be incomplete.

They specifically stated the backspacing at which a lift is needed - "A leveling kit is required if backspace is less than 5.0"

285/60/18 = 11.22 x 31.46 (no lift needed)
325/60/18 = 12.80 x 33.35 (lift needed)
325/65/18 = 12.80 x 34.63 (lift needed)

305/50/20 = 12.00 x 32.01 (trim/level suggested)
305/55/20 = 12.00 x 33.21 (trim/lift required)

Note that 32" seems to be the magic number as far as height is concerned. Backspacing depends on wheel/tire width.

scroll halfway down and you will see the Backspace to Offset Conversion Chart...this helped me when looking at different rims and their corresponding width.

Good starting point, but I don't think this is particularly accurate for OBS Tahoes/Yukons. I know I can fit a 15" rim on my 98 and they don't reference that at all.
