Whats with this Tahoe ?

hey guys im new and thgis is my first post. I have a 2000 Z71 Tahoe and love it problem is when i buy parts i dont know if it falls under the 94-99 body style ( which is what it looks like) or the 2000-2006 model the "newer rounder body style. well i bought a westin grille guard on craigslist, it fits a 99 which is what mine looks like but the bumper is differnt (his didnt have the z71 fog lights ...anyway my question is what happened this year with the Z71 and is it on the same base as the 94-99 ( which is what it looks like) or the 00-06 (which is does not look like but it is) . do i have to buy a 00-06 grille guard or a 94-99 grille guard...thanks guys

trust the year the part is made for, the 199* looks nothing like the 2000-2006. If you plan to upgrade without modding any mounts, brackets and so on buy parts for 2000 to 2006.

i posted this on the wrong forum but i appreicate the answers... the other forum saidbuy the 99 parts because its on the same platform even though its a 00 .... now im really confused

sorry guys i posted this on the wrong forum..but i appreicate the answers. the guys on the other forum (the 00 -06) said its a classic tahoe. and to use the 99 year parts beacuse its on the same platforum....now im really confused! haha

I would buy one for 99, since it is the same body style. Plus, if it REALLY doesn't work, you could send it back and get a 2000-2006 grille guard, and you'd at least know what to get in the future.
