What's the highest mileage AFM motor you've seen or own?

Anyone own or hear of really high miles on an AFM motor?

I read a lot about deactivating the stock AFM system because of the many reports of trouble. But I often wonder who has accumulated the most trouble-free miles while running the OEM system. I have 114,000 on my '16 Tahoe, and no trouble yet (fingers still crossed).

My dod engine in my 07 Tahoe has over 400,000 miles it’s got the 4l60 original powertrain original dod lifters never torn inside the motor for anything had two lifters stick on me possibly due to a oil pressure issue (pickup o ring cracked) got em free both times with marvel mystery oil she’s still a going today

160k on my 2015. Stock motor with AFM. I run a catch can though and only use synthetic every 5k.

I’ve got a little over 281k miles on my 2015 with original engine and no mods. Runs like it should. 0w20 Pennzoil ultra these days with a premium filter

Mine went 193K/ 13000 hours before #6 intake lifter collapsed.

I have an acquaintance with 211K on his 2011 Avalanche with no issues with his AFM, nor his 6L80. I have another acquaintance with 188K on his Tahoe. He just had his tranny rebuilt and has no idea what "AFM" even means. My luck will probably differ from these two guys - for the worse! However, I pray not. I installed an AFM disabler at 31k. But I only have 33K so far (2014 SSV).

One of my superintendents is driving a 2016 5.3 with over 280,000 miles on it. Engine is solid….trans was rebuilt once tho.

Currently at about 162k on a 2017 6.2L. Had #4 pushrod get bent, but replaced the rod and it's still running on the OE lifters. Time will tell....

Wow! That's some use! I thought I (we) put on the miles, but you put me to shame. LOL

The proof is in the pudding......lots of miles and long stretches of running tearing up the road is what a vehicle likes.

6.2L I assume? What have you done as far as maintenance? Any issues with carbon buildup on the valves?

173k on 2016 5.3 stock tune and 10k oil change intervals with Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 0w40. I realize this is a pretty unconventional choice and I run it for a lot of miles but I will put cam and non dod lifters in at first signs of a problem. We have a very mixed fleet and this oil is in almost everything from large diesels to small air cooled engines for the past 7 years and no oil related failures to date. Roast away!!!
