What is this ?

95 4 door Tahoe, 5.7 TBI. Looks similar to the air bag sensors in the front, but under front door on inside of frame. Doesn’t have one on other side. Can’t seem to find a part matching what it is either.

Looks like a crusty old airbag sensor. Maybe for rollover?

I’m assuming since it’s only on driver side probably for the steering wheel airbag because there’s no airbag on passenger side for side impact

Should have metal cover over it and there should be one on the other side kind of directly up from where the sway bar d bushing is and there should be a connector for it on the wiring harness

I want to remove all of the sensors feel like the airbag in these trucks is a weapon waiting to happen

Pulling the fuse disables the srs system
