Did you get the cat back system built in a shop or buy an aftermarket system to install yourself?

Cat gutted, also replaced exhaust with a cat back system. No more rattling. Guess we will see if it fails emissions next time I go in.
it will be fine there is no sensor or anything, so as long as there is one there it's a visual pass

Before spending $2 - 3000 on it I'd neatly gut it and see how it goes through inspection. I doubt they would see any problems with the exhaust, especially if you run it on the highway at speed for some miles before testing.
Gonna have to get a replacement anyways. Gutted the cat and the rattling noise is gone, but the drone in crazy loud now. Not exactly the best when driving around a newborn.

Well that's a bit of a commute. I do know a good repair shop there.

Thanks, if you still want it we can work something out. I won't have a need for them.

Anyone know where I can scrap these cats? I don't want to throw them out. Would a scrap yard take them? Or is there a place that takes cats?

Leave them on the side of the road…. Some crackhead will grab them within minutes

Yeah, I mean if the cats are worth some money, id rather not give it to the local scrappers.

It be nice to recoup a little of my cost.
