I had 2 BTL 18's. I would do those because they blend well with all genres and get busy in 16 cubes @ 33hz. Just awesome sounding SPL oriented drivers. I miss them sorta.

Depending on where you are I have said box!...lol

The impedance rise of 4 drivers will probably rob you of power. Would be pretty close and comes down to the install really.

IMHO, ported L7 15's, woofers up, port back.

I agree with Blue, 4 15" L7s = more cone area!!!! I also have to side with WrenchGuy, it really comes down to the install, and a well designed/built box. Definitely subs up, port back.....I got two !5" CVRs in a box I built, subs up port back.

are you going for any sound quality at all? those L7's are going to get pretty loud but will sound crappy doing it. Those would be my vote for overall louder

Depends on the box, port noise and shit tuning will kill any ported sub. I love the Fi but 18s are a bit ridiculous for me, I think the L7s would be a bit more musical. I did 4 ported L7s with 1000w/ea in a friend's expedition, woofers firing up slot port back and it sounded pretty docile at low volume but pounded when you cranked it up. Those were the old L7 new ones sound way better.

four ported 15's, off alot of power....me thinks SQ isn't what he's after. If so, I'd seal them.

yea i know what your saying thats why i was trying to word it right, some subs are just plain sloppy though, some sound somewhat clean while still getting real loud.

Audio must suck over here!...lol Just get Kicker because everyone else does. It saves us from these silly threads.

Give me the same equipment and I will make the Fi's louder no problem. You guys aren't factoring anything in your suggestion.

The Fi's are more musical period even as a BTL. OP wants louder the Kicker route would be the way if he could keep the same amount of power across the drivers. Gotta figure impedance rise over 4 drivers and then divide that power 4 more times.

The "peaky" range of tuning in our Tahoes 2000-2006 is 43-47hz if your gonna use the L7's to be "louder" your gonna wanna tune your box in that range which is a ****** range for daily listening.

Your RF draws 277 amps at 14.4 full tilt so.....figure that in too.

Its not a point of what your putting in now. Its how and what you put in. Brands aside.
