Went and picked up my new truck last night!

1950 chevrolet 3100 half ton pickup. 235 straight 6 with manual 3 on the tree! Pretty much everything is there and original minus a couple things. Engine was swapped too used to be a 216. Can't wait to get it going!

That's what Obama wanting. Found a 71 and wife said she wants round body. Love a Nomad. But just a decent body will be 10+ where as for 15-20 can fully do a truck.

Here's a few more pics. Gave it a bath. Had to really scrub to get the years of dirt off. Check out that patina! Lol

I applied some weatherstrip adhesive to the front driver side strip, and the strip in the rear door where it kept falling off at. I also noticed some rust beginning to develop on the driver door. will ask for suggestions for that in a separate threat.

I also applied some weatherstrip lubricant to the rear driver side strip to stop the squeaking when the door is opened/closed.

Yea, Pretty sure im gonna clear the paint and leave the patina. Havent decided if I want to stick all stock or repower. really gonna depend on how it drives as is. either way frame will stay. not sure what I want to do with suspension yet.

I want some wheels like these, not sure what will or wont fit it though

After 3 1/2 weeks under the cover, she looked great. Took her for a spin down to the painters to pick up my color matched bumper cap. The first shoot had a bad reaction, but they nailed it on the second time after taking it all the way back to the plastic. Nice one.

No. It's a junk yard not a parking lot. That car is scrap. You realize junk yards work by taking the: gauges. Drive train. Wheels and doors off. After that they have written the entire rest of the vehicle off as scrap metal. The ones by me if it is not drive train or listed above and fits in pocket, book bag, took box. They do not care. Straight up been told that every time I go scavenging.
