... somebody should snag this. Seems like a great price to me and very clean for the year:
On the SURFACE, it seems "very good"......

I considered an '81 Honda 900 motorcycle.... Pictures were 'very good'... in person, it may have been stored in salt water...... ( Just saying, considering the price offered )

OR somebody could just want it gone and doesn't want to field 3000 "is this still available" posts. You never know which is where all the "barn find" stories come from. :)

I agree...... It seems to look good, for the selling price, ..if it needs fixing, it could be a good price still. ( One observation..... The color of the carpets..... They look darker than I would expect with the interior color.... Uh, I have seen "good looking" used cars, that were in a flood. ??

I threw in new tie rods, inner and outer tonight. The hardest part was breaking the inner one loose. One thing that I thought was weird is that the passenger outer came off with 16 turns while the drivers side took 30. Is that normal or should they be closer? I was thinking they would be relatively the same. Just have to torque everything and grease.

I bought a complete steering column with steering wheel and key. It has the factory steering wheel controls. Mine doesn't. It's just an LS model. Would it be better to swap out the entire column in my 03? Would I run into any passkey issues causing it to not start? Or could I get away with doing just the steering wheel--with the controls, along with the correct clockspring? I did get the complete column including the column harness. I'm just interested in getting into the options that it'll give me.
Anyone?

Bueller? Bueller?
Ya know,, I don't know what can o worms you'll find with a different harness, and how to attach??
I agree. I just need to start digging in--see what I find. Hopefully there's no programming or anything else involving the bcm.

I'll be doing the same, plus the new front Hellwig sway bar.
A shop just down the street, will be installing my front Hellwig sway bar & rear shocks next week... They'll charge only an hour labor. ( ( They do a LOT of this stuff, so they can do it fast & clean)

Removed and disassembled my headlight/interior lamp switch on my Z71. I was having an issue where as I was driving, the instrument panel and radio backlight would turn off, I could bump the switch or the adjustment wheel the lights would come back on. Cleaned up the board and all contactors inside the switch, works like new now, I guess after 300k+ miles things got a little sticky inside.

Found some $100 original snowflakes on marketplace. 295/70/17 used set of BFG K02 $200 marketplace. 33.3" overall diamater. Date code 2020 but a good amount of tread left. Load range E so kinda stiff. Probably lower psi from 55 to 45. Added some black 19mm lugnuts and wheel caps. I did the 1.5" rear coil space awhile back along with 2" front torsion key lift. These fill out the wheel wells nicely.

FYI - if running 295/70/17 on stock wheels you’ll have to trim some rear fender liner where it sticks out around the top shock bolt. Also had to turn around the shock bolt so the nut faces inside as the tire is super close to the shock tower.

After installing the Hellwig rear sway bar & front Bilstiens, Today, got the Hellwig front anti-roll bar & rear shocks..... Feels pretty good.... I heard, it takes a few miles to break in the new shocks...

I had it done, at a NICE custom truck shop..... They charged only an hour's labor. ( since they do this sort of stuff every day) " Farm Boy Customs "

Welp... I may have done a thing today...

It was sold as 200k miles, but it's actually 226k. Still runs nice. Likely needs a transmission rebuild, but that was disclosed before I bought it. AC seems to be dropping water into the passenger floorboard. Gotta figure out what that is all about. But it saved me $500 on the sale. I'll register it tomorrow and see what the taxes are on it. But I bought it for $3k. I'm fairly sure I could part it out for $4k - $5k, if I had to. Hope to get another 100,000 miles out of it, though -- after having the transmission and AC drains checked out. The driver's seat isn't even ripped up. And it's a Platinum edition; that includes heated and cooled seats, front and second row plus heated/cooled cupholders up front.

I ordered new tires today. I work at a Bridgestone tire dealer so I preordered the new Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascent in a 305/55R20. I'm currently using 275/60R20 Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 3. I'm guessing I'll have to trim my inner liner a bit, which isn't a big deal. Hoping to get my HD hood painted and installed before winter as well.

Dropped the Escalade off at my regular mechanic. This was to get a second opinion on the items I already diagnosed and get an oil change. He's going to call me, tomorrow, with his opinions.

I dropped the Suburban 2500 off at the mechanic that has been doing electrical work for us to replace the knock sensors. They told me they are way backed up, but they would work me in between jobs if I could leave it with them.
