That's just the cover. It's super-flexible rubber, and often bunches up or looks "bent" like it does in the picture. The shock should be fine.

Here's mine on the Hoe.Oh I thought you used a complete rear Denali bumper. Didn't know you just switched plastics. Good to know tho! I thought that most holes lined up but a few extras were added for Denali cover or hitch cover
I know the bumpers bolt up. Didn't know of the steel part was the same as far as mounting holes for the plastics. Here's mine on the Hoe. View attachment 182438

Yeah I'm pretty sure. And today all the sudden after I put it back in 2wd and get two miles down the road all the sudden I was slowing down and went to get back in the throttle and the rpms went up but no drive like I was in neutral. Pulled over was gonna cut the truck off and decided to put it in auto and I hear this loud noise and then put it back in 2wd and had gears again. Crazy and it drove fine after that. Weird. The mirror thing is just annoying.

This is where I went to school and also where I get my supplies. Their big thing with the paints and dyes are they're water soluble. How big is the tear and where is it located?
Here's a Yukon/Tahoe that I've done. This tear is super common with these. Just from sliding in and out.View attachment 182271

I hate to be like this but what does tc mean? Traction control? And where would it be located for me to even look at it. Sorry I'm mechanically inclined but this is my first Chevy v8. Thanks for the helpIt sounds like your encoder ring is going out. Then again, the TC motor has a lock so that it cannot shift out of the drive mode but... that's what it's doing. I wonder if oil is leaking past the gasket & corrupting various parts of the motor. Have you pulled the TC encoder motor off yet? I would be doing that ASAP
Even better a cold front just came into bigD! Wrenching weather.
Where you at Chubbs? I'm up in Frisco and definitely feel the front.

Thinking about changing things up. I think I might pull the curved lightbar and put a straight bar up on the roof rack, then put cab lights up top. Then I can replace the door seals and it should be a little quieter and, even better, won't leak!!!
That's actually easy to sew. It would look repaired, but as long as there's no material missing. If there is, then it would look puckered.Wish I could repair this! Prob be easier to just replace the whole damn seat. That's my intention anyway. I need steps, bad. View attachment 182554
On a brighter note, found a kickA$$ deal on Craig's: case of 5w-30 2dexos full-syn for $30!! 12 F'n quarts. 1-years worth of top-shelf oil changes.

Nice. Pretty sure we have the same IR impact. That little ****** ain't too shabby.
Oooh. TC is transfer-case. It has an electric motor bolted on the front; when you push the button (auto4, L4, H4,) that little motor turns a shaft VS. you manually shifting an old school lever on the floor. That motor is programmed to the whole computer network in the truck. The piece inside of the motor that interprets & carries out the commands is the encoder ring. When the ring goes out, the TC transfer case will begin shifting without command.
Can the TC be repaired or would I have to get a new one? every button works accept for 4LO...It won't engage, it just blinks and returns to the previous gear from neutral when stopped or rolling down hill around 3mph
