paint the housings black, then use alcohol to remove the silk screen. you should be good. I will be in for a set too

Hell yeah. I could put some on the firewall, the hood, anywhere. Where ever I need light. Cool. So much easier then running wires. I could even put one underneath. I could check for leaks, no drop light needed.

No offense meant. They just look like cheap crap that's all. It's your trucks so if you like them that's all that counts. Myself, I wouldn't even put them in my closet. Two days ago it was 94*, hottest day of the year. And that's exactly when my blower resistor decided to take a dump. Yesterday I replaced that and the melted wiring harness.
