I didn't do the install myself, but I know there had to be a little trimming around the ring. Otherwise, it was pretty straightforward.

The kicker comp 8" dropped perfectly in for me only had to drill some holes for new screws, and I ran into the stock amp till I upgraded.

Yup, that'll work. Simple, just hot and ground. These get really hot so be careful how you mount them and what they touch, they'll melt plastic.

Went for a drive in the snow this morning, then came home and found an e-mail from ODOT informing me that a check for my bent 27" rim is in the mail as of today. Couldn't believe they paid for it, especially in less than 2 weeks after I filed a claim.

My gf drives it at least 95% of the time, if not more, so it's tailored more for her, but..... I'm going with a bigger cam then she knows! Gonna have a somewhat choppy idle. Hehe. She just got a speeding ticket with the 4.8, so I can't even imagine what this is going to do!

Yup. But when I do drive it I'm going to enjoy it! Only weak point is going to be the trans now. Hopefully with the upgraded cam I'll be able to reuse the stock injectors. If not, it'll be another $500 for an upgrade!
