What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

This is who I used and was very happy with the results. Quick turnaround and the added gauged looked oem. I know there are others out there but again this is who I used.

My shocks were worn out and new nivomat shocks are $$$. Plus I wanted a little bit firmer ride and the ability to try different shocks now that the zw7 springs are swapped out. I’m going to tow with mine as well. Air bags and a wireless controller are next.

Yea I don't want to mess with air bags and all that... what mileage did yours wear out at? I have 11k on mine and they are still good.

stiffer suspension is possible while maintaining the load levelling ability. You can just swap in new springs. If you want to maintain non z71 height you can put in standard (moog 81071) non z71 springs, or if higher ride height and even stiffer than that is the goal then the moog 81069 (z71) springs would work.

I swapped from my worn airride equipped springs (which are softer than 81071 from what I understand) to some z71 springs that I trimmed a coil off of and some bilstein shocks (I deleted my non functional airride as well, simply due to cost to replace). They are definitely stiffer. Not uncomfortable though.

MUCH better in my case than what was in there before.

That's a little strand of bad luck your having...
Hope the GF gets better quickly.
The Trans temprature gauge is plug and play as you probably know. I sent my cluster out to have it refurbished, new lights, stepper motors, etc. Had the trans gauge added for $80. I'll bet you can swap that gauge into your original panel.

You'll want a piece of all thread cut to length for the ride height sensors. Super simple mod to keep the airride/load levelling functioning properly in that case.

Yea I would like a stiffer suspension, but I really like my load leveling shocks. I tow quite a bit and after a few miles it's right back to stock height instead of sagging from tounge weight...

Been contemplating giving it up though. What made you switch over?

The zw7 isn't like the air ride, it doesnt have any sensors to adjust the height. I believe it works off internal shock pressures or something.

Also may I recommend another option. @ScottyBoy does guage repairs and upgrades as well, and he's on this forum

He did a blue led upgrade on my silverado guages, ac panel, door switched, exc. He got the skills to pay the bills, and a nice guy to deal with.

I just noticed something, anyone know if all the gauges are supposed to rest on the red line when the vehicle is off? I wonder if the temp gauge stepper has had it.

Replaced my tire pressure sensors. Had the originals from '05, 11 years isn't a bad run out of them.

It was pretty pain free. I found a local self-serve shop with a tire machine I could use. Pushed the bead down and out of the way, replaced the sensors, then programmed them. No need for special tools to program, it's the same procedure as rotating your tires

Key on, parking brake on, cycle the lights between off and parking-lamps until the car honks at you w/ a blinking TPMS indicator. Either let air out or put air in the LF tire until the car honks at you, then continue around in a clockwise manner. Turn the key off when you're done, adjust tire pressures to spec and you're set to go.

I haven't gotten that far yet. Truck's fuel pump took a dump so it doesn't run. With the gauge out, the other gauges are on the orange lines except for the temp, it's now on almost 210. I don't think it was like that yesterday when I picked it up.

I ask because I've had them do some weird stuff when I disconnect them from power before. If everything zeroes out properly when you turn the key on I honestly wouldn't sweat it

No, it should be at the 160 mark when powered off. that's weird it went up by itself without power

They do weird stuff when diconnected.. the speedo in my truck jumps to 120+ when u disconnect the battery. As soon as you hit 20 or 30mph it goes back to normal. U won't know what's what until it's plugged in and truck is running. Your probably ok. Not all my gauges go back to zero all the time when the trucks off but they work.
