Picked up a complete Z71 Roof Rack for $50 for the Yukon yesterday. Going to pick up some Trim Black and adhesion promoter on the way home and give it a fresh coat of paint. Had to drive 5 hours round trip but it was worth it.

I do have a question though - I’ve been reading some build threads and saw some people have swapped in an Escalade gauge cluster to allow for a trans temp gauge. Is that plug and play? Or is there tuning or electrical work that needs to happen to make it work?

Not sure about your 05. It was PnP on my 03. I've read you can PnP up to 04, but I'm not positive. Any way you can try it out 1st?

Not sure, If I can find one at a you pull it place I wouldn't be out too much cash. Mostly recyclers around here have the Eskys though.

If it doesn’t work all you need is a flash but I’m not sure what needs to be flashed, don’t you know Tony?? Isn’t it the cluster itself ?

Got a new radio antenna as the old one broke off. Also replaced my GoRhino hitch step with a 3 way trailer hitch. Bought a locking hitch lock as well.

Tech2 Clone arrived! HVAC recirc door not closing. Tech2 confirmed DTC for recirc door/actuator. Looks like the dash is coming off this weekend.
why take the dash off? as far as I know you can get to it up underneath from the drivers side, that is the hardest one though

once the gauge is added the eprom on the cluster needs to be flashed to make it work, the sensor is already in the transmission on all the suv's and pickups. In addition if you swap the cluster in from another vehicle it needs to be programmed for you vin & mileage, one may work by just plugging it in but it may work properly until it is programmed to the vin
