I did my homework on them (before making a purchase) many years ago after considering buying parts from them but even then the reviews were horrid and I never looked back.
the shiesty high shipping cost, the increase in cost after purchase, out of stock sale canceled -weeks later, taking months to ship a part, no customers service call backs or there just full of excuses one after another. unable to return parts, shipped wrong parts, refund never sent, all the same reviews as years ago. nothing has changed.
my advice is ***STAY AWAY****

The other option for GM OEM is to go into the dealership parts department and tell them what you’re doing. Get to know the real parts guys from the desk attendants.

I’ve had 5 older GM vehicles I’ve bought parts for from the same dealer for almost 20 years:
* 6+ year old 02 Tahoe
* 20+ year old 92 Suburban 2500
* 10+ year old 06 Envoy
* 10+ year old 09 Tahoe
* 8+ year old 2010 Suburban 2500

None of them were purchased at the dealership and all were purchased used with the ages as above. I’ve gotten significant discounts for most of that time.

No not fraud, the merchant breached basic contract law. That’s your right to stop payment and have the charge corrected.
Justify it however you want, but factually, that’s fraud. Ask your credit card company and see what THEY say. Fraud.

I tend to use Rock Auto and often the parts appear to come from dealers in my state. Shipping is always reasonable as long as the shipments come from one place which they tell about up front. Any time I have done returns there are no issues with that either.

As an option I sometimes use Quirk Parts and they are often on EBAY as well as their own website.

Yeah, and RETURN THE PART YOU DIDN’T PAY FOR… otherwise, it’s FRAUD. Post the statement from your credit card company disclosure that states your FRAUD ‘practice’ is legal and acceptable by them.

Fraud and theft. Using a credit card to stop payment on an action that had nothing to do with them is fraud. The bank holding the credit card did nothing wrong. Fraud by stopping payment AND not returning the parts.

1-He ordered his list of parts from them and clicked buy (constitutes a contract of sale)
2- After the sale they asked for more money or no part (fraud in the inducement of a sale)
3- He didnt want to cancel the part since he spent a lot of time putting the order together and wanted a single transaction. He agreed to pay more for the part to keep the transaction rolling but doesn’t automatically give up his rights in the original contract
4- He has a number of potential remedies including sharing his bad experience with us, asking gmpg to make it right and honor the price they advertised online, and finally disputing the charges as fraudulent with his card issuing bank as the laws in our great nation afford.

Put in an order - I thought shipping was inflated but paid for the convenience of getting 6 parts from one place. The next day I get an email in the afternoon saying the price of a part went up $11 and I’ll have to pay it before they ship. They split it off my order and created 2 orders. How can a company just charge more after the order was placed lol? So in 2 weeks they can email me and say the price went up, I still owe them? I canceled both. It will end up saving me in the long run anyways.
