Was it possible to get a Tahoe with a sunroof without rear dvd?

I would like to delete the rear dvd but I assume there is a big hole after removing it. Is there a headliner (even used that can be recovered) option to fix this?

After removing the DVD player you could always patch up the hole in your old one before recovering it. Itll be cheaper and easier.

I special ordered a 2019 Suburban Z71 with this configuration. They let me order just the sunroof without the rear entertainment package.

My '08 has a sunroof with no RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment). I'm pretty sure the same was on option for the GMT800 platform.

There will be a big hole, but it might can be covered with a large factory dome light assembly. If not, you can get a headliner from one with a sunroof and no rear DVD and swap it in. Or, patch the hole (in yours or a donor) and have it recovered.

I wondered if that would work or if, because of how tight the headliner material sits against the board, you'd be able to see where the hole was patched over prior to recovering.

Although I am not sure how big of a hole there will be under the DVD player..

I think if you take your time with the patch, and make it flush you'll be fine. Don't they have fiberglass flexible tape?

It’s not a Tahoe, but this is my 03 Denali headliner

I actually didn't think of tape. I guess I need to remove the DVD player and see what the headliner looks like then. I just assumed it was a huge hole cut around the plastic trim. Maybe its just some small holes for mounting

Thanks! Looks like the same light as the rear area has. That'll be easy to find.

I have a 2005 Tahoe with sunroof and not dvd player, so yes it was possible to get it in this configuration.
