Vibration under acceleration

My 04 Burb AWD has developed a noticeable driveline vibration under acceleration which feels like it is coming from the front end. I'm pretty sure it's something linked to the front axle (driveshaft, differential, cv's) - is there any way to easily isolate power coming out of the differential to the front for a road test without puking fluid everywhere?

IMO, the first step in diagnosis, without wasting a lot of time troubleshooting, is the following.

Find a trusted local repair shop, and get the truck up on the lift with a person in the driver's seat, and shift into Drive and give it some gas. Another mechanic with a mechanic's stethoscope will be under the truck, tracing down the source of the sound. When I had this done with my truck, they found that the front differential mounts' bushings were shot, and after replacing the mounts and their bushings, the sound went away.

In all probability, you will find the source of your issue, and then you can decide how you want to resolve it.

easy way to tell is if the vibration is gone when your at speed coasting, then we know its not tires, but the drive line, bad u joint or front axel if you feel it on one side more then the other. at some point you'll need to get under the truck and inspect stuff. if you find grease slug all over in a wheel well then that cv joints boot has torn open and is likely the problem.
