Wow. IMO, yes. The extra button just won’t do anything, but if you get the one without the lift glass release then you won’t have that option, plus if you're lucky the tailgate will release with it.

Made one myself for $18. $10 for a 2015 style shell and $8 for a new 2003-2006 remote. Just had to dremel a little to make the circuit board fit into the new-style shell.
