Hey,

Does anybody know the size of the Bose tweeter in the A pillar. I got a set of ZR's and I want to know if i'm going to run into a problem mounting the tweeters in the stock location.

The ZR tweeter mounting diameter is just over 1 1/2 inches.

So I finally finished my install last night. The full list of things that I did:

RF 3sixty.2
1 JL 450/4
1 set of ZR 650 csi
1 set of Infinity Kappa 62.9I
2 JL 1000/1
2 10W7's
Updgraded my Big 3
Ran a **** ton of wire!!!!

Amps for the install

Deadened the doors and I even put the Texas edition speaker baffles on the speaker lol. (I'm a GA boy, but Captain Morgan and a jigsaw don't mix lol)

The ZR tweeter and the stock tweeter. I had to make a minor modification to the A pillar to get the tweeter to fit.

I mounted the 3sixty at the mouth of the vent under the drivers seat for ventilation.

I switched the remote wire terminal from an input to an output.

I mounted the 450/4 where the stock sub used to be!

I mounted the crossovers on the amp with velcro where I can access them through the cup holder.

That's about it. From tear down to finish, it took me a week. I still need to secure my 0 gauge wire in the engine bay and troubleshoot my 3sixty(it won't turn off when I turn off the car.)

Overall impressions, The ZR's are perfect for me, I listen to rap and R&B all the time, so I like to hear good mid bass response and these definitely have that. The tweeters would be deadly if they were on axis, but since they are in the stock off-axis place, they sound great!. The Hertz MLK 165 was my #1 choice for components, and I still love them, but, ZR's are awesome.

Thanks,

Yea I did, but not with this build. I built it back in September. I'm actually about to build another one that is just like the JL High Output W7 box, but for 2 10s. I'm trying to find the actual JL internal dimensions so that I can start mapping it out. I suspect its going to be huge, considering the ** box for 1 10 is 3/4 the size of my box right now.

nice...

looks great!

i love your choice of components, as i have a pile of boxes in my room that are pretty much the same, minus the w7's...i'm prob. going with either p3's or l7's...

can you show a shot of your a-pillars? of if possible, install shots of them? i'm curious cuz i'd like to see the finished product, or if it would be easier to mount them on the sail panel....thanks!
