I know this has been a topic of multiple discussions and am curious...has anyone successfully disabled their acc? I would like to use cruise control without the incredibly annoying radar/gap/nanny function.

Thanks!

some vehicles have the option to turn it off and run regular cruise and some do not, you'll have to google the gm instructions to check

Apparently. Just curious if ANYONE has one of these elusive builds that can actually turn it off...so far

I haven’t found it yet, @cardude2000 ......it truly is a shit system, makes me not want to use cc and i love using cruise

If I knew it wouldn’t throw an idiot light i’d rip the radar portion out..

I went through the couple dozen posts that come up and can’t find one that has turned it off.

Anyone out there who has?

IF you have the option for regular cruise control then this is the procedure to do it

Switching Between Cruise Control Modes (if equipped)

The driver can also switch between Adaptive Cruise Control and regular cruise control:

• Press and hold the CANCEL button

• The driver will see either the Adaptive Cruise Control icon or the regular cruise control icon on their vehicle display

• They can then press and hold the CANCEL button to switch back and forth between the two cruise control modes
