Turn signal blinking fast help

my left turn signal blinks very fast (rt side is normal) all bulbs are new but when I hook up a trailer to pull the blinker works as it should. any ideas?

Welcome. I know you said all bulbs are new but are they all working, mainly turn signals? Usually they do this(hyper flash) when a signal bulb is out or diconnected.

Weird. That's the first sign of a bulb being out.

what if they were leds would that matter because my rear are LED and they blink super fast too?

Leds draw very little power so the truck thinks the bulbs are out and will hyperflash. Unless the bulbs or housings have built in resistors to simulate the draw of a regular bulb.

It's almost what he said. The regular bulbs take a second to brighten. The positive pulse is actually the same rate it's just that the led lights instantly and reacts to the pulse while the incanndesant takes a second extra.

Yes the incandescent takes longer to react but the rest of your statement is not true. A blown or led bulb w/out resistor in the signal will cause the opposite signal(front or rear) on same side(left or right) to hyper flash.
