Troubleshooting Power Door Locks

Have any of you trouble shot the power windows/power door lock system? Specifically, I want to make sure the right amount of power is flowing through the system before I bet yet another master control switch -- and/or power door lock actuator.

You should get 12v to the actuator.

My doorlock actuator wire rubbed through the shield inside of the wire loom from door jam to door. It was hard to pinpoint till it got bad enough. Then it would only work if the door was open in the right spot. Driver door. I was looking with my voltmeter too, never nailed it, till it got obvious. Throwing it out there. Goid luck.
