so lately when i try to put my 'hoe in gear cold...that is when it's been sitting and i go to leave and put it in gear...it doesn't go right into gear. i sometimes have to wait for it to warm up before it goes into gear...and when it does it does so with a thud. tonight i let it warm up and it didn't go into gear and i had to leave to come to work so i had no choice but to give it a little gas to force it in and it did but this time with a louder thud. once on the highway it performs great, it's just starting cold that does this. this was happening last year for a while until i changed t-fluid and it worked great for about 9 months or so. now it's doing it again. is it on it's way out? is there anything i can do? should i leave it in drive when i turn it off?

Hmmm, the loud thud could be U-joints, but not going into gear wouldn't be. Maybe leave it in neutral and park, then next time you start it up cold see if it does it?

Sounds like low fluid or a leaky seal. The seal will swell up as it gets warmer thus sealing. :(

Hey thanks man. Yeah I go home that way about that time every day Tues-Friday except for tomorrow morning, the 'hoe is at home waiting for me to finish up putting on the bilsteins.
