That is a nice hitch, and it includes the "balls" which is a plus. Pricey-yes, Versatile-yes, Aluminum vs Steel-your decision.

I use a Leer hitch on my 2021 Suburban for towing my small landscape trailer, and it’s been solid. I went with an adjustable steel drop so I can fine-tune the height depending on the trailer. Makes hookups way easier and keeps everything level.

I’d stick with steel over aluminum for this. Llighter hitches are nice, but steel just feels more durable, especially if you’re towing often. So far, my hitch handles everything perfectly.

Unless you're using it daily, just get a cheap hitch with the right drop, and just make sure you put an exchangeable ball on it. It's all you really need. Not worth putting hundreds and hundreds of dollars into. People will steal these in a New York minute if you happen to not keep it locked. I've had cheap ones and I've had expensive ones. And mostly the cheap ones do the same thing.

I got this off Amazon and pretty sure it was under $50
I believe it is aluminum with steel ball.
I tow a 24’ boat ~ 6k lbs a lot and it works great

If you can buy that hitch for under 50.00 I'll eat my hat !
I remember it being cheaper than I expected but went through my old orders and you are right, I paid $68 2 years ago but it is “currently unavailable” on Amazon but this is exactly what I got- China made aluminum 8” drop.
$97

If you scroll down the same Tobee hitch is $91

I prefer the normal hitches. I don't like the looseness of the adjustable ones nor do I trust a lot of them for pulling anything overly heavy.

Usually one drop size will do even if you're towing multiple trailers.

If you're only towing a small landscape trailer, I'd go with a fixed ball mount with an 8" drop. Draw Tite, Curt and many other brands are available.

For our small cargo trailer I use an aluminum drop hitch from harbor freight with a 2” ball. Cheap as chips and works great. For our 28’ Airstream, I use a Shocker hitch. Takes all of the jerkiness right out.
