Well, I've always wondered why my Tahoe leaned low and to the passenger front. Went underneath and looked and the passenger side of the cross member is bent and the torsion bolt is barely screwed in. Looks like the original owners, the Jackson County Mississippi Sheriff's Office had a little too much fun. So, my question is, how do I go about finding this part? And could a shop heat that up and bend it back so that I can twist that torsion bolt back in?

Honestly I don't have a clue. But looking at the damage, I would replace the cross member. Is it welded or bolted on? Shouldn't have a problem at all finding one in a scrap yard.

The cross member is attached to bushings which are riveted on. Should be able to separate one without the other. Only concern is that the torsion bars might need reloading.

I would replace it also. Have to take both keys out to get the cross member out. Check the rubber bushings. Mine were cracked and making the crossmember sit at an angle so I replaced them. They were press in and $50 a piece from the dealer. They are called isolators I believe.
