To Key West and back..

Made a quick business trip down to Key West This past Friday...first trip to the Island in the Yukon.

It was a fun trip...considering it was for business. I was down and back that same day. Traffic from Key Largo south is SLOW GO...45 MPH is about all you can do in most places.

The guy I went down to talk to was cool. Of course the conversation drifted into "Trucks" LOL !! He has a '16 Chevy Silverado LTZ "Callaway" 6.2 4 WD 560 HP 6.2...very "Bad Ass".

Only three of these in Florida !!

Love those PIAA "Backup" lights !! You think he can see to launch his boat at night with the "Backup" camera ?!! LOL

Took the kids on a bicycle ride down the old one.....

Was down there last week..Traffic was a bit heavier when I was on it last Saturday but I was on it around 2PM. The 18 mile stretch was bumper to bumper coming back in the late afternoon last Sunday but expected that at that time of day.

I remember driving on the old bridge as seen in the video, boy it was creepy, and by looking at the video I don't think I would want to drive on the new one either

I actually find the drive on that bridge relaxing..It is the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York that I find creepy.

For those driving down to Key West Bob's Bunz Islamorada Bakery and Restaurant on US 1 at mile marker 81.6 [next to a Mobil Station] on the South Bound Side is great for breakfast or lunch..Everything is fresh and service is awesome..Been there a ton of times.

For dinner in Key West Caroline's on Duval Street [near Sloppy Joe's] is really good.

All this is just IMHO!!

Good info. I like Marker 88 restaurant. Great Key Lime pie and can sit right on the water while the kids can run around on the beach. Gulf side. Sunset is of course killer!

Sometimes we just drive the kids down there to have lunch and come back.
