i have swapped out my wheels and the new wheels didnt come with monitors. i dont have my stockers either. i hate that the dash keeps reminding my of the monitors. i was wondering if they can be turned off or deleated somehow. i just got the tahoe tuned with efi live and it didnt have an option to turn it off on the ecu.

That is a dealer thing. And they don't make any promises that they can do it. They will charge you $95 to give it a shot though. It might be easier to find a new set of sensors and have them installed.

I've never heard of anyone outside of GM being able to do it and that's only if they are willing...

the dealer can set the threshold value so it will never set the light off, However the chances of them doing that for you are slim to none. You can score a take off set off ebay like 50 used, about 100 brand new.

If your cheap... you could take the gauge cluster out and remove the light!

I WAS referencing the TPMS warning light (like a '93 Tahoe) in the dash. It lights up like a flattened tire with an exclamation point on it. That's the one that bugged me for a little while until I replaced my TPMS w/ aftermarket. I bought mine from tire-sensors.com. They've worked great for a year now.

Of course , if the LCD display is the one that's bothersome, you could always disable that too.....:superhack:

If you know someone with a GM tech 2 tool you can remove just about anything you want to out of the BCM. The BCM should be where most of the RPO codes are stored. Basically you pull the RPO codes out of your BCM with the tech 2. DO some research and find out which code or codes are for TPMS. Next step involves a dealership. If you have a friend with a tech 2 he can get this done for you probably for free. You need to hook the tech 2 up to the computer at the dealership and look through all the codes until you find the ones you want. Once you find them remove them and reload the new info to the tech 2. Hook the tech 2 back up to the truck and reflash the BCM. The hard part is finding someone that has a tech 2. The dealership will not remove a safety feature from your ride period! You can also shut off the service suspension message when you disable autoride by removing the 2 rpo codes for autoride from the bcm. The truck will never know it even had autoride or TPMS. Goodluck and if you are wandering how I know this my buddy has a GM tech 2 tool!
