How do you guys like 35% tint on windshield? I have 50% and it's pretty decent but I wouldn't mind going a little darker if it's not so hard to see out at night, and does it look super dark from the outside? It's super illegal where I live I have 20% sides but I have seen cops look at me never pulled over.
I'm running 35% Wincos ceramic on the windshield and 20% on the sides and think it's perfect. No visibility issues at all. I pass by cops all the time and never pulled over.View attachment 78573

I think they notice side tints more than the front. I got pulled over by highway patrol for speeding in my work truck with 45% front, 20% sides and they only hit me for the sides.

I have 50% on the whole windshield along with 15% on the fronts and 30% on the rest. It's formula one pinnacle, which is the same as llumar ceramic but with a different warranty. I got it because on-coming headlights would strain my eyes on the backroads.

Zero problems with the law for the 7 months I've had it and that's with my plate in the windshield, which that in itself is reason to get pulled over. The cops here don't really hassle people for that type of stuff unless your a ricer.

As far as visibility goes, No real loss of visibility but make sure your comfortable with your headlight output before you do it. My headlights always seem to cut off before I would like them too and now with the tint anything above the cutoff is darker but still visible.

Moral of the story: love it, no regrets, will do on every car I get that has good headlights, I feel like I'm in fishbowl in other cars without windshield tint, but would only recommend if your comfortable with your headlights depth.

My shop only uses the Llumar Formula One film. We carry ceramic and the classic dyed film. Great product! We use XPel Ultimate paint protection film

that looks great, but also looks like a ticket waiting to happen in CA. My wife drives my lade most of the time so I'd hate to get her pulled over in it. I'd never hear the end of it.

It's mostly a weekend ride now so I'm not worried about getting ticketed. Definitely wouldn't be doing something illegal in it though lol. No tints when the wife was driving it.

interesting. Seems like contrast is key. If your sides are 5% you can get away with 35% on the shield.

I think that's the key. My 5% fronts are a shade lighter than 15% over the factory in the rear. and the Windshield is lighter than the fronts. So it all "appears" to be like factory just darker

I run 35% on sides and windshield, if the vehicle didn't come factory tinted I run 35% on all the windows. I think the key is the area you're in and how much they care and/or notice.

That's exactly what it is, looking at it you would never know it was tinted unless you're parked in direct sunlight and looking at it from various angles...it looks like there's a rainbow on your windshield

i see youre in the bronx too...where did you get this done at and how much? im gonna tint the rest of the windows but dont want the windshield done, but would like this to help from those damn HIDS

Got quoted $100-$150 for windshield as well. Tinting the entire Suburban (no windshield) cost me $200.

35% on my windshield, 15% on the front 2, and 5% on all of the rest.
