Third Row Cup Holder Jack Storage Area

I love my new to me 2012 Denali. My only complain is lack of storage. I have 3 kids so we need the 3rd row in all the time.

I like the cup holder and jack storage area over the wheel well on the right side . I was thinking if I could come up with a part number for the removable cup holder I might cut out the area on the left side and use that area for a small tool box or whatever. Has anyone done this ? Is this a good idea ? Anyone have pictures or part numbers they could share?

Your rear AC is on the passenger side so the cupholders won't go in.
