My Yukon is dark spiral grey metallic with blacked out windows.

I picked up some VHT manifold paint for my exhaust pipe and I might use that. The stuff is ALAMAZING. It dried evenly even in spots where I sprayed too heavily.

Any thoughts?

Why do you want to paint your roof black? It's going to get hotter inside the truck on hot days.

Its also the part of your truck most likely to get bird shit and is the hardest to clean...not an area I'd want matte. I think gloss black would be cool though.

Apparently the ceramic paint helps disperse heat.

Just an idea I've been tossing around.

Repo, good idea. Metallic gloss black does sound pretty bad@$$.

Why not get some matte black vinyl and wrap the top to see if you like it... If it doesn't work all you have to do it pull/tear it off.

I don't think mine gets any hotter than any other vehicle that is a different color than black

Darker vehicles do get considerably hotter than light color vehicles... at least that's what I learned from Mythbusters, lol.

It was just an idea I had. Doesn't sound like the best idea now lol.

I think I'm going to go with a professionally sprayed metallic black.
