Thinking about new mids

I have 2 sets of Dynaudio 240 gt in my front and read doors. Been thinking of replacing them with something else, maybe a 3 way component set for extra mid output. Most likely 3 way up front 2 way in rear.

Anyone have suggestions, recommendations?

Budget is a grand a set, give or take.

Are you looking to go active or passive? I have a set of Hertz HSK 165xl 2 way up front running active that i've been looking to upgrade as well. Personally, I like the Hybrid Audio legatia 3 way. If you are running passive on your dynaudio's, you might want to try running them active, it made a huge improvement on my HSK's.

I would love some new Milles! And I am running passive right now, have considered active but $$$ and space helped in my decision.

I want to listen to the new Milles, still haven't had a chance yet. I hear you on the cost of running active, i definitely spent more on my amps then i did on my speakers, but i figured i would allow me to upgrade easier in the future.

Wonder how those will fit in our doors? You think modification will be needed to fit in the stock mounting holes?

I'm gonna need more amps!!!

i'm going to be doing new mdf speaker mounts to cover the stock opening and then mount these into the new mounts. These are only a 3 inch mounting depth. I dont remember the max mounting depth on our trucks, but with a 1/2 inch mdf spacer it will fit for sure.
