I'm a total noob when it comes to car audio, but this will work out perfectly correct?

2 of these amps powering 4 of these subs.

Gonna build a custom sealed enclosure that matches my interior and then mount the 2 amps on top. Should be a pretty decent system. Going with this head unit too if anyone cares. Haven't decided on the speakers yet, but probably going with Kickers.

Doing this all in January. I'm excited! :D

it will work correctly but youre going to need to have it installed, (you know nothing of audio, even some people who've worked on audio don't know how to dual amp.)

i would say that wouldn't be as loud as 2 12's, you may be pushing around 750 rms

plus, putting 10's in a tahoe is going about it kinda sissy for me

Not sure if it will push 4 10" subs. I know if can push 2 (1 Sub per Amp) Just fine. Something like a Infinity 1060W would hit hard. So 2 10" Infinity's would be a Kick ass setup.

These amps are usually rated around 318 Watts / Mono. Those infinity's are around 275-300 Watts at 4OHMS.

I have 2-8" Kicker L7's ( not wimpy......138.6 db) being pushed by a single Kicker 1000.1 amp. and they kick ass. Definitly take it to the pros to have installed. Tell them to build you a ported box.

The amps would be able to push it but they would be very underpowered. Those amps only put out about 85 rms per channel but each subs is made to handle about 150 rms continuous. If you plan on using those amps I would only run 1 sub per each one but thats up to you. IMO i would spend the extra for a better amp or use less subs. The end result will be the quality of the sound. Check out millionbuy.com. They have been the cheapest ive found for audio equipment and shipment has always been quick and sometimes free depending on how much you spend. Definitely use a ported box if you plan on all these subs though. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

my mistake, i read it wrong, the amps will barely push those subs. either you can get a powerful 4 channel amp, or 2 amps rated at least at 300 rms either mono (1 channel) or a 2 channel

Just rework your idea. If you were to get 2 high quality tens with one good amplifier you could have a heck of a system. If you want more punch then even go with 12s. I dont ever really listen to stuff loud but i really like quality. For the price you would have spent on the other stuff you can get a pretty good system and save space and hassle. Even a single very high quality sub will get you more bass and sound clarity than a system poorly put together.

Well the problem is I already bought the 2 amps, but if I have to il sell those and get a better one, even though I don't want to.

If I go with this, will the 2 amps I bought work? If not, can you recommend me a good amp to power that? Preferably a Kicker, Crunch or Hifonics. I guess im just gonna scratch my whole idea.

the two amps may work if you run one to each, and bridge them. other wise if it doesnt, buy a 1600 watt amp to push about 800 rms

lower ohm's means less resistance. which means more power to the subs. but yes that amp will work. you can drop the sub wiring down to 1 ohm and get some major bass from them. here is a 1 ohm wiring diagram

wire up your subs like this and you will get the most out of them

the 250.2 will not run at 1 ohm.

---------- Post added at 04:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:52 PM ----------

get 4 07C108's, wire each amp, to each pair of subs, will work perfectly, 250-300 per pair, so right at 125-150 watts each.

wire like this:

you were dead on in your research man.

So wtf, 4 10" Kicker comps WILL work? I'm so confused now. Anyways, it doesn't really matter now I guess since im going to buy 3 12" Kicker comps tomorrow.

$200 seems like a good deal. Hoping the 2 amps will power these + speakers all around, if not I may have to sell them and get something that does. I hate how confusing car audio is lol.

Picked up the subs today. Here's a pic of them in the back of my tahoe:

be8x9u.jpg

Need to sell my Xbox and my drum set, and I guess the 2 amps I just bought from blueflamed :(, and then il be able to buy the bigger amp, speakers, and head unit. The guy who sold em to me said they are about 300 rms a piece and that I should get a 1000w amp. So im gonna look at what Crunch, HiFonics & Kicker have to offer for multichannel 1000w amps.

sending you a PM

lol i didnt say it was a GOOD idea.. just the only one that would work :p

You dont need a 1000w multi channel amp.. you NEED an amp to run mono AND a 4 channel.. you can get a bs 1000w sony for $70 NEW.. to push the subs.. and it will work.. not amazingly.. but it has worked on a budget for many before you..

Then use the 2 you have to push the doors

$60 refurbished.. free shipping

http://millionbuyplus.com/view_prod...nnel-1000W-Xplod-AMPLIFIER-[Refurbished].html

$82 shipped..

I own one of these and it pushed 3 jl 12w1s with more than enough power that the wifey would only listen to it with all 4 windows all the way down

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...f5c0fde&itemid=160389214220&ff4=263602_263622

Neither are AMAZING.. but both are ridiculously cheap.. and paired with the other 2 to push your doors will make a really decent sounding system
