I will check that out. I do remember when we installed the kit it moved the sway bar over an inch or so

you could start another topic on it and get a lot more help instead of posting here where its already buried and people just think I'm psycho for bumping my own drop thread even though the drop is already installed haha!

Well, I started another thread and it didn't get much interest. Since I am asking exact questions about a 3-5 drop in a thread about a 3-5 drop I don't understand what the problem is. If someone wanted to see what a 3-5 looked like and encounted similar issues this would be a good resource thread.

nothing against you bro I'm just seeing one person help you out and was suggesting starting your own thread because mine is kinda dead so not many people are going to see your concern

so I guess I was able to go lower in the rear... a lot lower :D

I was told from DJM themselves when I bought by kit, that the 5in coils are actually made for a suburban to the spring rate is much higher, so thats why they will ride a little rougher. Because I think they also offer a 4in lowering spring exactly for the yukon. When I got my receipt it said the rear coils were for a Suburban, or a Yukon Xl so i called them and they told me about the 5in coils.

clean will be able to elaborate a lot better than I would
I just had to keep checking with him as he was explaining it that it would make me lower :D

800067.gif

the top bushing it metal on top and half way down has a rubber boot
take the rubber boot off and you expose what chris is cutting on in the picture

keep the top rubber boot off and put the metal back on put the bottom rubber boot on and thread the bolt a little bit

tighten each one about half way
then go back again and tighten all the way.. you will see the body suck in closer to the frame

Blizzard and I were standing at the back of my hoe while clean was tightening the bolts and we were watching the gap between the back bumper and hatch close up.. our worry was that the hatch wouldn't be able to open but I got lucky and you can just barely slip a pencil in between it

pester Blizzard about posting pictures of it and he'll eventually post them, it will better illustrate what I'm trying to say

shit ever since JK dropped his lower with s-10 body mounts i was researching and to no prevail. This may be a simpler tactic.

I always thought body drops were really intense procedures that only shops could do because you had to lift the whole body off the frame at once
the s10 mounts are from my knowledge for ride quality.. since your frame is now touching the body there is no separation which is another reason why when I bottom out it is quite intense

I'm sure there are also kits that let you body drop while keeping some type of separation between the frame and body

the rear hatch was about 1.25" from the bumper before we started and now its less than an 1/8th of an inch away so I gained a little over an inch

both are off..
I stand corrected.. I only like the sawzall when it has a new blade
the drivers side took way longer because I had to fight with it a couple times

got a lot more clearance than before but now that I don't bottom out my tires hit the back fender

I drove to work and heard some scraping even though I trimmed the plastic fender liner

get out and smell burnt rubber and it was "sanding" away at my tire, its a little rough now

but I won't be able to judge ride quality until I get some shocks in haha!
