I added another critter to the stable. A 2015 Mini Countryman S.

Very low miles, so a while until the expensive maintenance arrives.

It seems to be optioned up to some degree. Now to figure it all out.

Mechanic told me those motors weren't great. Heard anything good or bad about them?
They seem to all need timing belts and other pricey stuff at about 100k. So I snagged this one since it only has 41K on it, many others were in the 65-80K range. I hope to kick that can down the road quite a while.

Took it to the limit…

One last time.

In Wyoming last summer, a buddy noticed the rear crossmember for teardrop’s toungue was out of place. It survived the highway trip home. Then one quick weekend trip on pavement since then. The tear was not evident in Wyoming.

It’s dead Jim. Gotta find a replacement. Also back off the rougher roads while camping. I’m a little concerned that each time I replace a failed part, something bigger goes next.
